An overdue update

2021 was a hard year, and although I have not been producing much since the pandemic started, I have been working on a few projects, as well as investing in some new equipment in addition to redesigning my studio (more on that in a future post), but there was one project that came along that was quite fun! I was commissioned to redesign a locket that was conceptually suppose to represent the client's family, and family name. A tree on a cliff amidst the waves. The cliff and water referring to elements of the client's name and surname, while the tree with four branches representing the client's family, partner, and two children. The design process was quite fun doing scale drawings, along with sample iterations in metal. There were several design changes, and challenges to overcome, but ultimately I am pleased with the results!
